Hi. I'm Jenn. Welcome to my site. The purpose of this site is two-fold. First, I hope that this site will help my family and friends adjust to the changes in my life. Second, I hope that this will serve as a resource and inspiration to others going down a similar path in their own lives. I am a 30-something male-to-female transsexual. I began taking feminizing hormones on Aug. 8th, 2006. In Feburary, 2007 I started living full-time as a female. I am very fortunate in that I have retained the full support of my entire family, my friends and all of my coworkers. From what I understand, this is quite unusual -- and for that I feel blessed. I am lucky enough to live in San Francisco, California. I can't imagine a better place to transition. However, it does have its drawbacks. Besides the fact that it's difficult to pass as female in this city because the people here are generally much more trans-aware than people elsewhere, it is also far away from most of my family and many of my friends. Much of my family lives in the midwestern United States, and my mother lives in Europe. This distance makes it difficult for my friends and family to get used to the "new" me -- to adjust to calling me "Jenn" and to use female pronouns when refering to me. In fact, very few members of my family have even seen me in girl-mode. To bring us closer, I have created this site, and try to keep the pictures current. This site is more for you, the visitor, than for me. So please, feel free to contact me with any comments or questions about this site, or transition in general. |
